Our Big Wonderful World

Jump Create is proud to present our latest class, just in time for Thanksgiving Break.

Our newest online scrapbooking class has been kid-tested, mother-approved.   Big WW class appeals to any age group or level of experience.    Parents and children will create their own books as they spend family time together.

My Big Wonderful World

Guided by prompts, you will create a book all about your world.    We recommend the smaller top loading album.  A 6 by 6 or a 8 by 8 album.

These classes are offered weekly in four parts.    Classes begin Friday. 

Classes are free to Jump Create members.  However, you must register in order to gain access to the class instructional materials, audio support, and classroom gallery.   Register by emailing hello@jumpcreate.com with subject “BIG.”

Cost of the class for non-members is $9.  To register, please email hello@jumpCreate.com with subject “BIG.”

At Jump Create, we encourage you to share scrapbooking with your children.

Scrapbooking provides children with hands-on inspiration for reflection, expression, creativity, and learning.

You may find that scrapbooking will provide your child with motivational, emotional, therapeutic, and educational benefits as well.  Emotional benefits include boosting self-esteem and give opportunities for self-expression and success.  Scrapbooking is be therapeutic for many children as they sometimes have difficulty expressing thoughts and emotions.

The best reason to share scrapbooking with your children is that it is a fun and rewarding way to spend quality family time together.

Recommended Supplies:

• 6 by 6 (or 8 by 8 ) top loading mini album
• black pen for journaling
• adhesive (quality glue stick for young children)
• coordinating cardstock and patterned papers
• stickers
• other supplies that you love

I am not the typical artistic designer. I never enjoyed crafting as a child. This is not to say that I did not grow up in a crafty home. I clearly remember as a child watching Carol Duvall, Julia Child and the Galloping Gourmet on PBS.

I did not find out that I had an artistic gene until I was 40 years old raising a toddler and pregnant with twin boys.

I am a eco-conscious/green/environmentally friendly designer. I recycle, up-cycle, repurpose, reuse, reduce and pick through the trash. I will never be a fine artist. The tag line on my blog reads: “There are no mistakes in art, just opportunities to embellish.”

My, for me the devil is in the details. I am a left brained woman having extraordinary right brain experiences.
