Please join me in welcoming our next guest blogger, Cheryl Waters.
I am so fortunate to have had the opportunity to meet and work with Cheryl over the years. It is my pleasure to share her with all of you. ~Sudie Alexander, Chief Fun Officer of Jump Create
My name is Cheryl Waters, and I reside in beautiful South Orange County, California. I am married for 17 years. We
have one beautiful, fun-loving nine year old daughter who brightens my life. I have a very close knit family and the family unit both in genealogy and my church family, is very important to me. I love spending time with my family and I love the outdoors. I also enjoy doing charity work and attempting to give back to my community. I hope that as I cross paths with others that both will be blessed and lives enriched. I know that I am truly blessed!
I have had the blessing of being a lead and founding Fiskateer and began my journey in 2006. It has been an incredible journey and I’m excited to continue as a lead. I am so grateful to be a part of the Fiskars family
I work full time in law enforcement and enjoy working with the community. I have enjoyed watching my position as a Fiskateer crossover into my law enforcement position. Crafting is so much about life!
Prior to working in law enforcement, my husband and I (later came my daughter) lived overseas (primarily South Africa, Zambia and Madagascar) for six years as Christian missionaries. I learned so much about life, culture, community, forgiveness, blessing, giving, sacrifice, challenge and my faith grew in a huge way. It was a life-altering and growing experience.
Scrapbooking has always been a part of my life in one way or another. Besides teaching at several different venues as a Fiskateer in several different states, I am also a Creative Team Member at my local scrapbook store . . . Timeless Treasures. I enjoy teaching, scrapbooking, altered arts, fine art, and drawing. I enjoy thinking outside the box with my projects. My style of scrapbooking leans more towards Shabby Chic although I enjoy all styles of scrapping.
I was encouraged by friends to submit some of my work and have been published in Memory Makers Books as well as Somerset Home and Memories (formerly Legacy) on several occasions. I have had the blessing of working with this wonderful company and have written articles for Stampington and Company/Somerset.
